Every Saturday at 11 AM: Join our trained guides for interactive and engaging tours of SLOMA’s current exhibitions and gain a deeper understanding of the artwork on view.

To join a tour, please check in at the front desk. Docent tours are free and open to the public.

Looking for fun and memorable group activities in San Luis Obispo? Whether you’re planning a team-building event, family reunion, or vacation outing, we offer engaging experiences perfect for all kinds of gatherings. Tours range from 30–60 minutes and explore SLOMA’s current exhibitions.

Teachers: Book a free interactive exhibition tour and art activity for your class or student group! Tours incorporate Visual Thinking Strategies to promote your students’ critical thinking, active listening, and communication skills. Art activity kits and curriculum materials are inspired by our current exhibitions. Check out our current and past exhibitions for free educators’ guides. Transportation subsidies of up to $250 are available, with a priority for Title 1 schools; ask SLOMA staff for more information.

School tours and art activity events can only be booked for Tuesdays and Wednesdays when the Museum is closed to the public. Tour date must be at least 30 days from date of request. We will respond to your inquiry within 2-3 business days.

Exhibition tours are led by trained docents or curatorial staff and are available for both youth and adult groups.
