Spring 2023 Internships
The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA) seeks two undergraduate or graduate interns to join our team this spring. These internship positions provide an opportunity for currently enrolled or recent graduates to gain experience working in the professional setting of a museum while also developing and exploring their own unique interests. Interns will assist with exhibition preparation, visitor services, collections, and social media management, all while working closely with SLOMA’s curatorial and education teams. Interns will be encouraged to develop projects based on their own areas of study and interest related to art education and engagement in the museum context. A weekly stiped will be offered in addition to school credit if eligible.

If interested, please email a cover letter and resume to SLOMA Curator Courtney Davis by December 4. Interviews will be conducted December 5-14 and applicants will be notified of a decision by December 16. The internship program will run January 17-May 19, 2023. Interns are expected to work 10-12 hours a week. Weekly hours are flexible depending on students’ schedules and required hours for credit.

The mission of the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art is to provide diverse visual arts experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds through exhibition, education, creation, and collaboration; and preserve the Museum’s permanent collection as an artistic legacy of the California Central Coast.
