Shirley Pittman (d. 2013) was mostly known for her watercolors which she painted en plein aire. She was juried into every SLOMA Plein Air Painting Festival she entered, and was always a crowd favorite. She studied art at Chouinard and taught art in the Los Angeles public school system before retiring to her home in Cambria.
