Adopted by: Ellen Paige Gehring as a gift from Gerry and Peggy Peterson. Also adopted by Mike and Twila Stofer.

Bertha Artindale was a gifted painter who came to California after WWII.  The artist was born in Shanghai, and spent the war years interned in a Japanese prison camp. This is a painting she was working on when she died in 1969.

Donated to the Permanent Collection by Gladys and Stanton Gray.
