Nancy Dunn has been active on the California Central Coast art scene since the early days of this organization. She is an artist proficient in many media, including welded steel sculpture, until she developed an allergic reaction to the chemicals and gases involed in the process. She now concentrates on painting and printmaking.
Nancy Dunn’s art education included studies at Los Angeles City College, UCLA with William Brice, Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo, Immaculate Heart College, and with metal sculptor Leona Ambrose.
“Icon” is currently installed on the east wall of the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art and is featured in Art in Public Places, Bowling Green University Press, 1969.
