University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE), in partnership with SLOMA, is leading a series of collaborative programs helping healthcare professionals build resilience through reflective practice. Sponsored by Adventist Health, this new workshop series uses art, movement, and guided reflection to strengthen provider well-being and enrich patient care.
Set inside Trish Andersen’s immersive installation Little by Little, each two-hour session invites healthcare providers to consider how small parts can build something greater—how patience, presence, and persistence can shape a joyful and unified whole, while practicing evidence-based techniques taught by Harvard Medical School faculty. Participants leave with transferable skills to deepen empathy, curiosity, and cultural responsiveness in their daily work.
These workshops are offered in support of SLO County Healthcare Workforce Partnership’s effort to improve retention and provide meaningful training opportunities healthcare providers working in oral health, behavioral health, and physical health. Interested providers can contact Dr. Katherine Soule, University of California Cooperative Extension for workshop details and registration (kesoule@ucdavis.edu).
