A performance activation facilitated by Stephanie Allen, January 29 – February 6

Maybe it’s where you hid the key to the house, or to say “I’m sorry I yelled at you last night,” or, “Even though you make me mad I always love you,” or “Throw out the trash it is starting to smell.” We never know when the last time we see someone will be so the moment we remember that thing that went unsaid, now becomes the time to say it.

What is that one thing you want to remember to tell that one person in your life? All members of the community are invited to collaborate in a prose poem entitled In Case I Forget to Tell You. There’s a desk, paper, and a typewriter awaiting you in the SLOMA lobby.

Please find a few moments to stop by during the week, or join us at First Fridays on February 6 from 5–7 PM for a last chance to participate. In case I forget to tell you, we really want you to be there because it can’t happen without you.

Admission to SLOMA and First Fridays is free and open to the public.

A short reading of submissions will take place at 7:30 PM on February 6 by project artist Stephanie Allen and poet and spoken word artist Stan Kelly.
