Details

In Still / Moving, the works of Adria Arch and Keith Wiley explore the space between intimacy and energy—between careful handmade detail and wide, expressive motion. Both artists show how movement can exist inside structure, and how moments of stillness can feel alive.

Adria Arch’s bright paintings and hanging shapes reach outward with color and rhythm. Her flowing, curving shapes seem to dance in the air. In contrast, Keith Wiley’s portal-like sculptures ask viewers to look closely. They are full of small marks and quiet details that invite pause and reflection, with openings that pull you inward.

Arch and Wiley had never met before this project. Living on opposite coasts—she in Boston, he in Atascadero—they worked together from afar, connecting through images, ideas, and their shared love of movement and form. Together, their work becomes a conversation between small and large, heavy and light, still and moving—a space where both calm and motion exist together.

About the Artists

Adria Arch is a Boston-based artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and installation. Her large-scale, colorful forms explore wonder and joy through movement, light, and play. Arch holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and her work is included in many public and private collections, including the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum and the Boston Public Library. She has exhibited widely across the U.S. and recently completed a permanent commission for Google’s Cambridge offices.

Keith Wiley is a California-based sculptor and painter whose work bridges architecture, illusion, and intimacy. His sculptures and intricate surfaces invite viewers into layered spaces that shift between depth, stillness and motion. Wiley’s practice reflects a deep interest in perception and the tactile nature of looking—transforming everyday materials into meditative spaces of wonder. He spent two decades as a respected teacher in the Architecture department at Cal Poly and works out of his home studio in Atascadero, CA.
