Warhol in San Francisco
August 4, 2019
Few American artists are as ever-present and instantly recognizable as Andy Warhol. From A to B and Back Again, the first Warhol retrospective organized in the U.S. since 1989, reconsiders the work of one of the most inventive, influential, and important American artists. Stretching across three floors of SFMOMA, featuring a dozen works unique to this museum, and building on a wealth of new materials, research, and scholarship that has emerged since the artist’s untimely death in 1987, this exhibition reveals new complexities about the Warhol we think we know, and introduces a Warhol for the 21st century.
Travelers will also have the opportunity to tour the Museum’s exceptional permanent collection on view.
Sunday, August 4, 2019. Registration $125 SLOMA members, $140 general includes round trip transportation, admission, and snacks. Convenient pickups in SLO and Paso Robles.
