The Big Sirs of Swing is a Gypsy Jazz Quartet based on the Central Coast. The Gypsy Jazz genre blends acoustic jazz and swing and was conceived in France in the 1930s by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.
The Big Sirs play and sing original Django tunes, classic Jazz and Swing standards, as well as original music of their own, all in the exciting and toe tapping flavor of Gypsy Jazz.
The Big Sirs include the talents of:
Daniel Cimo on violin and vocals
Ben Arthur on lead and rhythm guitar
Ron Mileur on rhythm guitar
Tyler Dukes on stand up bass
These guys are a great example of how talented individuals can sometimes come together to form a terrific band sound that is cohesive and exciting!
Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2 PM with intermission. An opportunity to visit with the musicians and enjoy light refreshments follows the 90 minute performance. Concert will be held in SLOMA’s Gray Wing. $20 general seating. Note: no physical tickets are sent. Give your name at check-in for entry or bring your emailed receipt.
