A Life In Print profiles Xavier Viramontes, one of the most influential Hispanic artists of our time. His iconoclastic silk screen poster, BOYCOTT GRAPES, for the United Farmworkers, awakened a nation and rallied the Chicano movement in art.

The film showcases Viramontes at work in his studio, interwoven with a retrospective of his printed artwork. Also featured are the works of over 50 Bay Area artists, including Tim Drescher, Juan R. Fuentes, Pirkle Jones, Yolanda M. Lopez, Ralph Maradiaga, Emmanuel Montoya, las Mujeres Muralistas, Patricia Rodriguez, the Royal Chicano Air Force, and René Yañez.

Date TBA. Film nights will resume in accordance with State and County recommendations. Check our newsletter or join our mailing list at the bottom of the screen to be the first to hear about our many programs.
