Learn to draw from the comfort of your own home! Get the techniques and tools necessary to draw with realistic precision utilizing classical French Atelier training. This weekend workshop takes you through the paces for knowing how to solidly training your eye and hand for absolute realism in classical form or whatever style you prefer through a quick-paced practice. You will create a beautiful piece that begins to train your eye as you go, along with other exercises, demos, lecture, and step by step instructor guidance. Instructions about your set up at home plus a link will be sent to you via email the day before the workshop for you to easily log into the virtual classroom at workshop time.
Materials List
Several HB or #2 pencils, kneaded or plastic eraser, utility knife or single-sided razor blade, sandpaper or a sanding block, drawing paper or copy paper (8×10″), drawing board or smooth surface that will accommodate two 8×10″ pages side by side, masking tape (optional), an easel (optional), a working computer or tablet with internet service and webcam and a printer connected for printing out materials (or a screen to refer back to).

About the Instructor

Lury Norris received Atelier training at BACAA in the San Francisco Bay Area with instructors such as Juliette Aristides, Colleen Barry, Noah Buchanan, and Stephen early over a period of 4 years from 2012 to 2016. She is known for meeting her students where they are with encouragement and gentle guidance in her educational approach. Her work can be seen at Studios on the park in Paso Robles.
