Youth Art Camps
SLOMA’s 2019 Summer Art Camps were a fantastic success. After school art classes will be announced shortly. Check back in March 2020 for information about our annual Spring Break Art Camps.
From 9 AM to Noon the children 5 to 12 years old (grouped by ages) attend two classes each morning from two different teachers. All lessons are process oriented and teach art fundamentals.
Teenagers attend from 1 to 4 PM and learn to create in a small process oriented classes designed to encourage individual expression and understanding of specific processes.
Youth After School Art Classes
BRAINS-ON: The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art teaches children aged 7 to 12 years on Tuesday afternoons at the Museum of Art. Classes will resume October 2019.
GET CREATIVE: Class sizes are limited to 15 students and taught by experienced teaching artists. Subject matter is designed to help students build higher level thinking skills, with opportunities for students to analyze and make judgements in the field of visual arts. SLOMA aligns its youth art education curriculum to the California State Framework for the Visual and Performing Arts.
